| Marisa and her new hubby Scott! |
Now, as discussed before in my previous blog...there are pros and there cons (in my opinion) to DIY weddings. For Marisa (my BFF) ... DIY had many pros and she was extremely lucky she had tons of family and friends to help accomplish them all!!!
Needless to say, her wedding turned out amazing! And she looked so happy...she was literally glowing! I couldn't be more happy for her and her new husband! They are truly perfect for each other and I know they will be so incredibly happy together!! I cannot wait for little Marisas and Scotts running around!
Here's just a small recap of the day before and the day of!
First...let me just tell you...for all of you DIY brides out there, we got Marisa's flowers on www.theflowerexchange.com for $300!! Yes, that's what you just read, $300!!! Though they came loose and we had to put them all together ourselves, I was quite surprised at the quality of flowers and how many we got!

LESSON #8:
Hiccups will happen! Be prepared. Nothing will ever go 'perfectly' on your wedding. The key is to stay calm and know that everything will work out the way it is supposed to.
We had a blast with all 15 ladies and young girls that came by for the 'bouquet and bouties' party! We were able to get all of our arrangements finished...and we had enough left over to make pew flowers and many different flower arrangements for the reception and at the church! I couldn't believe how perfect it was!
After a long day of flowers and setup...we ventured off to the rehearsal. The wedding coordinator was a bit nutty...but I guess I can't blame her. There were a lot of people and she was trying to accomplish everything in only an hour. After we finally got the rehearsal nailed down, it was off to a late but very nice rehearsal dinner! Marisa and Scott found a great place that fit their budget and everyone truly had a blast! 10pm rolled around and I was about to pass out at the restaurant!! YIKES!
We got home and instead of crashing, Marisa's mind was running and she chatted away until finally I told her she needed to get some rest.
The next morning came fast! Marisa woke up at 6am!!! EEK!!! Makes me super glad that my wedding isn't until 430pm! I can sleep in a bit (thank goodness)!! We all got ready and literally had 30 minutes to spare before we had to leave for the church...which I highly recommend!
TIP #7:
Be sure to leave yourself ample amounts of time. It really is worth your piece of mind to know you are running early. It's never good to be stressed on your big day!
Bottom line, and I'll wrap this up...the wedding really was a dream turned to reality for Marisa...and to hear her say that everything was perfect, really made my day too! I am so glad I was able to help her plan her dream wedding on a budget and make it everything she wanted it to be!!!
I'm putting in pictures for your to look through...I hope you enjoy! (sorry they're all out of line...I couldn't figure out how to make them look uniformed)

Until next time!
